Fees - Editing Services
Every project will have different elements, and I can tailor the fees to your situation. You may wish to choose a flat fee for the complete project, or a per-hour rate, or a per-page rate.
General structural editing will usually average $2-$3 per page, depending on the complexity of the material.

Fees - Writing Services
Blog entries and articles range from $10 to $100 depending on subject matter and word length.
Business reports are $50 minimum.
Ghost writing is available, for a fee to be negotiated depending on the nature of the project.

Fees - Other Services
Fact checking - $10/hr (plus long distance charges)
Short story manuscripts up to Book-length fiction manuscript submission - $50-$500
Book-length non-fiction proposal and submission - $2000
Research - $12/hr

Processing Your Documents
Formats and Tools
I accept documents via email or postal mail. I work primarily with electronic documents in Microsoft Word, or printed documents edited manually. Other formats may be available as requested.
Electronic documents can be returned via email or burned onto a CD. Hard copy documents can only be returned by postal mail.
Process
Communication via email or phone will be maintained throughout the project, to make progress reports and resolve any questions that arise.
Electronic documents in Word will be edited using the "Track Changes" feature. You will receive two versions of the document: one with all changes and comments included, and one "clean" copy that shows how the document looks with all changes incorporated. You may also receive a separate file with more extensive comments and suggestions.
If you prefer, I can print the document and edit the hard copy manually, returning the marked-up manuscript by mail so you can make corrections to the electronic document yourself.
Any document sent to me only as a hard copy manuscript will be edited manually and returned by mail or courier.
Processing Times
Working with your schedule and deadlines, on shorter projects I can edit text for up to 20 pages within four business days. Longer projects will require estimates of processing time. Urgent processing may be available on request.
Payment Schedule
Up to $50 project - payment of invoice upon completion
For $51-$200 - 50% advance before project begins, remainder on completion
For $201-$600, 33% advance, 33% halfway, remainder on completion
Over $600, payment schedule to be determined
Payment Methods
I accept payments through PayPal, including Visa and MasterCard. (Please note that you do not require a PayPal account to use their service. When prompted, click the option, "If you do not currently have a PayPal account click here." This option allows a one-time credit card payment as a secure transaction processed by PayPal.)
Money orders are also welcome. I may also accept checks, but the check must clear before work on a project begins. Arrangements can be made to work on your manuscript in stages if you would prefer not to submit a large project all at once.
All payments are due upon receipt of invoice.
